A House is on the Cards for GGPoker UKPC Main Event Winner Jack Solomon
Jack Solomon has been crowned the champion of the 2024 GGPoker UK Championships Main Event at Dusk Till Dawn, taking home 96,130, after a deal with heads-up opponent Yong Foo.
The deal resulted in Solomon taking home 80,130, but he wasn't content to stop there and claimed the remaining 16,000 at stake and the trophy after his seven-high straight secured victory against Foo's six-high straight.
Solomon overcame the 1,258-entry field and claimed the lion's share of the 603,840 prize pool, sending his rail from Skegness into raptures.
This win has certainly boosted Solomon's HendonMob, with his only previous recorded result being a cash win in February 2023 for $431.

Winner's Reaction
PokerNews managed to grab a quick word with the champion, who confirmed he was "Feeling great, if a bit tired" and was absolutely ecstatic at taking the title.
When asked if he had any plans for his winnings, Solomon stated, "It'll probably go towards a house" and his family, stating his wife had been on the phone in tears, overjoyed at his victory, and that he couldn't wait to tell his two young children in the morning.
Solomon also thanked his rail, who travelled down from Skegness, Lincolnshire, today to support him, confirming, "They definitely helped me get over the line."
Day 3 Action
Just 22 players returned for Day 3, with Guy Taylor the first player to exit after losing the classic race of ace-king versus Sunil Mistri's queens.
The knockouts came quickly in a frantic start to the day, as Dominic Cugudda, Daniel Whitbread and Florian Duta all fell by the wayside before the final table.
Solomon's run to glory truly began to gain momentum when he cracked the aces of Tom Middleton with a rivered flush.
The chip leader going into Day 3, Chris Da Silva, exited in 11th place shortly after losing a huge pot against Solomon after running ace-king into aces, and the final table was eventually set when Scott Boyle ran into the aces of Anthony Brown.
Solomon was just behind chip leader Brown as the final table began, with those players having a reasonable lead over the rest of the pack. Middleton was the first to exit in ninth as Solomon sent him to the rail with a nine-high flush.
It was at this point that Foo gained some momentum, as Daniel Golder quickly followed in eighth as he lost a race against his pocket tens.
Philip Baker subsequently ran his pocket tens into the pocket queens of Jean-Emmanuel Lhuillier to depart in seventh.
Marc Foggin finished sixth after Foo rivered a one-card ace-high flush against Foggin's tens. Solomon then knocked out the short-stacked Mistri in fifth.
Brown exited in fourth after he ran into Foo's pocket aces, and Solomon finished off Lhuillier in third as his ace-eight suited held against Lhuillier's queen-seven suited.
The players then agreed the aforementioned deal and Solomon, who entered heads-up play with a 3:1 chip advantage, soon finished off Foo to take the trophy and the remaining 16,000.
