Biography

Neymar Jr. is a Brazilian footballer who currently plays for Paris Saint-Germain. He is widely considered one of the most talented footballers in the world.

Not only that, but he is fanatical about poker. So much so, that he even named his dog poker!

In May 2015, Neymar joined PokerStarsas a brand ambassador. At the time, he was joined by another legend of Brazilian football Ronaldo as a member of Team Sportstars.

"Growing up and playing football everyday has made me a competitive person," Neymar Jr. said. "When I'm not playing football, playing poker and competing against my teammates on the road or in home games with friends is one of my favorite things to do."

Neymar has been heavily involved with PokerStars, hosting multiple charity home games, including one at EPT Barcelona won by Steve O'Dwyer.

During the Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) in 2020, Neymar made a deep run finishing 12th in Event 18-H: $2,100 NLHE [6-Max, Turbo, Progressive KO]

In December 2020, Neymar rejoined PokerStars and pledged to bring his flair and personality to the online and live tables.
